Inspiring Photography Locations

Location is key to photography, however it’s also important to be in the right at the right time. Find out the details I’ve collected surrounding some inspiring, well-known and less well-known photography locations.

Snæfellsnes in West Iceland

 Kirkjufellsfoss

The Snæfellsnes peninsula is on the western part of the island of Iceland, and boasts Kirkjufell (literally Church Mountain) and some lesser known gems like Skarðsvík Beach. It is also home to the Snæfellsjökull glacier which served as inspiration for Journey to the Center of the Earth by Jules Verne.  This was at the tail end of our trip and as a nice bonus we were treated to the northern lights, even though it wasn't the best time of year for them in August. The area is less crowded than the South or in the Highlands, and was a great way to end our trip.
